Flagship Microloan Program Hits Million Dollar Mark

Anderson, IN
– The Flagship Enterprise Center’s Microloan Program has surpassed the million dollar mark in total loans made.  This milestone comes on the heels of unprecedented growth for the program in 2013 as their portfolio more than doubled in size.  The Anderson-based microlender makes loans to businesses in the fitness, food service, landscaping, transportation, auto service, software, and retail industries and several of the Flagship’s clients have received recognition from the state for innovation, entrepreneurship, and business practices.  The Flagship Enterprise Center’s Microloan Program targets small and emerging ventures that are looking for loans that are too small for a bank’s portfolio but need funding to offset the costs associated with growth and expansion.  The Program can lend to businesses in Delaware, Grant, Hamilton, Hancock, Henry, Madison, Marion, Rush, Shelby, and Tipton Counties.

In addition to loans, the Flagship Microloan Program provides thousands of hours of business advisory services to our borrowers.  Services include bookkeeping, website design, marketing support and financing strategy.
